Audition for the Chorale

We welcome all voice types! Vocalists should be proficient in reading music and have choral experience. Auditions involve a few vocal exercises to assess your range, followed by one verse of “America, the Beautiful.” The process takes no more than five minutes, so please arrive early to warm up.

What We’re Listening For:
Tone Quality
Diction
Breath Control
Pitch Accuracy

The standard key is B-flat for altos and basses, and D for sopranos and tenors. You’ll sing the melody a cappella, and then your part with piano accompaniment if you are an alto, tenor, or bass. Sheet Music is available for free via  https://songsandhymns.org/pdf/sheet_music/america-the-beautiful.pdf
