After a year exploring the dreams of the American people, we ended the 2015-16 performance season by paying tribute to the 100th Anniversary of America's National Parks. The concert featured music inspired by the various regions along with photographs and video footage of the National Parks and their majestic beauty.
We also celebrated the dream of naturalist John Muir with a work entitled “Climb the Mountains,” and performed the western premier of “Dear Appalachia,” a work for bluegrass instruments and choir by American composer Tim Powell. Native American songs as well as traditional folk music inspired by the beauty of nature were included. Click here for concert order and program notes.
